A small but beautiful site in a gorgeous location for up to four motorhomes, campervans or small caravans.
Kilchoan is the most westerly village on the UK mainland and enjoys it’s own temperate climate.
The site is fairly sheltered, with fantastic views across the Sound of Mull. We have level access and hard-standing pitches with electric hookup (included in pitch price), facilities for the safe disposal of chemical toilets and a single toilet block with hot running water and washbasin.
An ideal stopping point for exploring the enigmatic and wild Ardnamurchan Peninsula, Far View is only a few hundred yards from the pier where ferries leave for Tobermory all year round.
There is a reasonably stocked local shop, fuel and restaurant/bar within 1 mile. The nearest supermarket is in Tobermory, otherwise Fort William is our nearest town.
Local wildlife includes: Red Deer, Otters, Greylag Geese, Basking Sharks, Pine Martens, Sea Eagles, Cormorants, Curlews, Herons and many others. There are plentiful walks nearby.
An excellent location for cycling, walking, kayaking and fishing, or just to enjoy the peace and tranquility.
The access roads to the peninsula may cause difficulties for larger caravans. We do not have showers on site but there are highly recommended public facilities within walking distance.
We are a certified location licenced by the MotorCaravanners Club Ltd and non-members are very welcome.
Pitches are priced at £15.00 per night. This includes electric hookup.
Advance booking is recommended.
Feel free to get in touch if you have any questions or would just like to go ahead and make a booking.
We are in one of the most beautiful places on earth. Come and stay!
On entering Kilchoan turn left after the School into Pier Road The site is about 3/4 mile further down on the left. Coming off the ferry from Tobermory, we’re about half a mile along the road on the right hand side.
